Who is the CCA?

The CCA serves Sacred Heart School, St. Anthony Catholic School, St. Francis Xavier Catholic Academy, and St. Thomas More Catholic AcademyThe Consortium of Catholic Academies (CCA) is a non-profit organization who is committed to delivering exceptional academic, spiritual, social - emotional, and financial support to 700+ dynamic and diverse students across four inner-city Catholic schools within the Archdiocese of Washington. Each CCA school provides a safe and nurturing environment for pre-kindergarten through eighth grade boys and girls to learn, grow, and thrive. For over 25 years, the CCA's central office helps oversee financial and administrative need to allow principals to focus on supporting and guiding scholars and educators.

Opening School Mass and CCA Collaboration DayOn August 24th, 2026, the Catholic community gathered in faith to celebrate and pray over the start of the 2026-2027 school year. We are deeply grateful for Cardinal McElroy and to be a part of something so special. After Opening School Mass, the Consortium of Catholic Academies faculty and staff gathered for a day of collaboration! These Collaboration Days give our four schools the opportunity to connect through professional development and learn new ways to best serve our students.
The Consortium of Catholic Academies is so excited to begin the new school year and look forward to all the fun that is in store for our students!

Pastors and Principals LuncheonOn August 19th, 2026, the CCA hosted a Pastors and Principals Luncheon at St. Thomas More Catholic Academy, welcoming Father Cezary Kozubek (middle right) and Father Anthony Baetzold (far left) to our school communities! Also pictured are Father Close, pastor of St. Anthony's (far right), and Father Moore, pastor of St. Thomas More (middle left).Father Cezary will be the administrator at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, while Father Anthony will be the pastor for the Shrine of the Sacred Heart!

CCA 2026 Summer Bridge Program

Archbishop Carroll High School & the CCA Summer Bridge ProgramFor the second summer in a row, the Consortium of Catholic Academies (CCA) partnered with Archbishop Carroll High School to provide students with another successful CCA Summer Bridge Program!
Students engaged in STEM, innovation and technology, media and journalism, creative arts, health and wellness, leadership development, and social-emotional learning. They participated in engineering challenges, technology projects, media productions, art showcases, performances, collaborative activities, and academic enrichment, including High School Placement Test (HSPT) preparation.
Pictured at right, Summer Bridge students visited the Planet Word Museum in D.C., where they explored the history of language and, public speaking, and the evolution of English words through engaging exhibits. The CCA is grateful for its continued partnership with Archbishop Carroll High School, which makes it possible to provide students with meaningful summer learning opportunities that prepare them for future success!
